Fixed prosthetic works

Bezel (or crown) is a crown made in the lab and bonded to the natural tooth, covering it completely.

When do I put hoops?

When a tooth has lost much of its mass due to caries, fracture or other cause and can not be restored with a simple method (sealing, etc. inserts)
Proactively at teeth at risk of breaking (mostly desensitized back teeth).
For aesthetic reasons: if we want to change color, shape, arrangement in anterior teeth and there is no possibility to apply a more conservative technique (sides, bleaching, bonding, etc.)

Nowadays, there are two main types of crowns, the porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crowns  and the pure ceramic.
The PFM   crowns are those used more often than all other types of crowns (porcelain known cases). They consist of a metal frame which is fully covered with ceramic (porcelain). The crowns of this type have good aesthetics, durability and a wide range of applications (they can be used in almost all cases).

Ceramic crowns
The new type is ceramic crowns with a metal free frame. The all-ceramic crowns have a porcelain skeleton which is covered with a special type of ceramic material. The absence of a metal frame gives unsurpassed beauty and naturalness in these restorations, which can now emulate the transparency and iridescence of the natural tooth.
